Silent Killers: These Deadly Toxins Are Hiding in Your Food

Natural is better most of the time, at least as rule of thumb. One of the main reasons that natural food is so much better and healthier for you is because of all the nasty, toxic additives in many foods today. These additives can cause many, many problems in your body, mind and overall quality of life.

It’s important to eat as much natural food as possible in order to avoid these toxins, as well as making sure to read the ingredient labels on your food… Granted, this can be confusing at times, but a great thing to remember is that you can always look it up, if you don’t know what something is. Oh, one more thing, just because a certain ingredient has super-duper long name,  does NOT mean it’s toxic and bad for you.

Aspartame

One of the most brain-killing things on the market right now, aspartame is probably the most popular baddie on this list, aspartame is created from the excretions of genetically modified bacteria and contains phenylalanine, aspartic acid and methanol. Reported side effects: Headaches, fibromyalgia, anxiety, memory loss, arthritis, abdominal pain, nausea, depression, heart palpitations, irritable bowel syndrome, seizures, neurological disorders, vision problems, brain tumors and weight gain. This artificial sweetener is bad news any way you look at it.

Sucralose

While the affects of aspartame have been well-publicized, those of the artificial sweetener sucralose are not as well known. Sucralose is marketed as Splenda whose ads say “made from sugar so it tastes like sugar”. What the ads don’t tell you is that sucralose is sugar bonded to chlorine, making it a toxic chlorocarbon.

Some common neurological side effects are headaches, migraines, dizziness, brain fog, anxiety, depression, and tinnitus. Another side effect is weight gain which rather defeats the purpose.
