Soda… Oh my… It’s, to put it as simply as possible, TERRIBLE for you in so many ways.
Now, plenty of these soda dangers are quite well-known, in fact, most people (that includes you) that you ask will know at least some of these facts about soda that we plan to cover later on in this list.
At the end of the day, what I’m really getting at is that, it’s not really a secret anymore that soda is quite dangerous towards your health in more ways in one, seeing as it can be held accountable for causing a long list of nasty health problems, such as cancer, cardiovascular problems (such as heart attacks or heart tremors, just to name-drop a couple of the more popular ones) and a whole entire array of other terrible things that are more likely to happen when you consume soda. That doesn’t even include the fact that the phosphoric acid in the sugary drink corrodes your teeth, as well as causing your bones to become thinner, more brittle, and weaker over time.
You see, when you drink soda willingly, it’s the same thing as purposely causing yourself (in this case, your body) harm in any other way, such as smoking, or eating ten Big Macs from McDonald’s… Just keep that in mind, as well as the rest of the things on this list, the next time you wanna drink a coke, or any soda for that matter.
Here’s the list… Enjoy!
The Top 3 Reasons Why Soda is VERY Bad For Us:
1. The NASTY Caramel Coloring: First up on our list, caramel coloring… Not much to say about this little “charmer,” besides the fact that it’s a known carcinogen (causes cancer)found in many, many different sodas. And as if that wasn’t enough, the amount found in ANY serving of coke that you can find being sold ANYWHERE, contains WAY over the regulation of the maximum “safe” amount per day. Pretty nasty any way that you look at it.
2. Soda Dulls The Effects Of The EXTREMELY Valuable Hormone Known As Insulin: The hormone insulin’s main purpose in the body is to drive glucose from the bloodstream into the cells. But when we make the choice to drink sugary soda, something bad happens to those cells… They tend to become resistant to the effects of insulin. When this ends up happening, the pancreas is forced make even MORE insulin in order to remove the glucose from our bloodstream, causing insulin levels to then go up.
3. Drinking A Lot Of Soda Puts You MORE At Risk For PAINFUL Kidney Stones: Kidney stones are REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, painful. Anyone who’s EVER had to pass one can and will attest to this if you ask them…
Aaannnnd… Guess what? Our good ol’ buddy known as soda is here to put you at a higher risk of having to suffer through these painful stones. Honestly, you could disregard every single other negative thing on this list about soda besides this and I STILL wouldn’t drink it… Kidney stones really stink… Trust me.
