Obesity is a disease affecting not only the United States, but most of the entire world.
This epidemic is growing at an exponential rate! Affecting not only certain people, but men, women, and children all run the risk of getting this disease. The factors being put on a spotlight for causing such a disease would be sugar, high fructose corn syrup, less physical activity, and fast foods. Who are to blame for such things? Well, if you turn on your television and look at these so called “nutritious foods,” being advertised by enormous companies and fast food chains that are professing to be all organic, but contain chemicals that are not even noticeable (much less pronounceable) but are silent killers in disguise. All of these chemicals which are being put in our bodies need to be eliminated in someway, but what organ does this? This would be the detoxifying and fat burning organ known as the liver…
Unfortunately we only have one liver. That means that due to all the food being consumed, and all chemicals being ingested our poor liver will go into overload trying to detox our bodies. Taking away time and energy from the fat burning process, and thus resulting in our body storing fat causing weight gain. For instance, pesticides are chemicals used to kill living organisms, and once we ingest such chemicals our bodies fight back trying to neutralize the detected poison and excrete it. The colon and the liver work together in this process of trying to expel the threat. Although, if such foods are consumed on a regular basis a surplus of chemicals are overlapping, and are being forced into the bloodstream. The liver helps prevent such a thing, but when it is being overwhelmed with one task it can not fully…
The liver plays a vital part in fighting diabetes by taking the glucose out of the bloodstream, but when the liver is overwhelmed and glucose builds up diabetes comes into play. Like obesity, diabetes is also a spreading worldwide, and this all happens from overloading bodies with such harmful substances. I come bearing good news! We can prevent such life shortening diseases from doing any further harm. How? By consuming more organic and less processed food. Eating our veggies, and helping out our liver by taking antioxidants both natural/herbal approaches for a detox can also be of tremendous help for the liver. Here are the names of some antioxidants such as Milk thistle, beta carotene, and vitamin E. By staying away from harmful foods ,and living a healthy lifestyle, we can overcome the epidemic that is obesity.
