When 35-year-old Willy F. felt some small nodules on the side of his neck, he never imagined he’d be diagnosed with terminal cancer. Stage 4 undifferentiated nasopharyngeal carcinoma, to be exact. And what’s worse, his doctors in Brazil couldn’t offer him any desirable treatment options.
But four years later, Willy is still alive and sharing his incredible story.

Willy’s Story
The discovery of small nodules on the side of Willy’s neck was shortly followed by persistent fatigue, fevers, and sore throats. Then, practically overnight, the nodules grew into a tumor that covered the entire side of Willy’s neck.
After being rushed to the emergency room, his doctors performed a biopsy and gave him the unimaginable news: “You have cancer.”
Willy’s only treatment options included the removal of his jaw along with aggressive chemotherapy and radiation. But even if he chose those options, his doctors believed they would only extend his life about 6 months.
But Willy wanted more than 6 months. He was in the prime of his life: finishing his education, engaged to be married, and about to start a career.
So Willy began to search for other treatment options that would actually give him a chance at life.
What he found was unexpected…
Could Nutrition Really Impact Willy’s Cancer?
After much research, Willy and his fiancé Camila discovered something that they never knew before: nutrition could really impact his cancer diagnosis. So the first thing he did was drastically change his eating habits. He came upon the renowned Gerson Therapy, discovered by Dr. Max Gerson. The therapy is an immuno-nutritional protocol that utilizes an organic, plant-based diet, with raw juices and other factors to strengthen the immune system and reignite the body’s ability to heal itself.

A Vaccine for Cancer? It’s Not What You Think
Another treatment that Willy came upon is called Coley’s Fluid, also known as Coley’s Vaccine, or Coley’s Toxins.
Invented in the late 19th century by cancer surgeon William B. Coley, the fluid contains bacterial toxins that literally infect the body and cause a fever, stimulating the immune system to attack malignant tumors, much like a vaccine, but without any additives or adjuncts.
After 1965, when the American Cancer Society classified it as an “unproven method,” Coley’s Vaccine became next to impossible to get in the US… but there was a hospital in Mexico that had the Coley’s fluid and had been treating patients with it for over 38 years.

Coley’s CPG
Coley’s Vaccine is comprised of a sterile (dead) mixture of gram-positive Streptococcus pyogenes and gram-negative Serratia marcescens bacteria. By introducing the killed bacteria into the body, Dr. Coley could mimic an immune response without the risk of infection.
Since cancer cells were formed undetected, the goal is to “unlock” the body’s immune system so that it can identify and kill the cancer cells.
Coley’s CPG therapy is our proprietary blend of CPG-carrying agents that allow the immune system the best chance of creating an anti-tumor immune response. There are currently many clinical trials studying CPG in combination with checkpoint inhibitors. Apatone
Apatone is a proprietary therapy that exhibits synergistic anti-tumor activity and preferentially kills tumor cells by autoschizis. Autoschizis uses a series of self-excisions to induce a type of cell death characterized by exaggerated membrane damage and progressive loss of organelle-free cytoplasm.
This patented technology allows up to 400% more intravenous or oral vitamin C into the cancer cell.
In March of 2008 an FDA Phase I/II Study was done on 17 end stage prostate cancer patients. They were treated with Vitamin C and K3 in a 100:1 ratio under the drug name Apatone. The Apatone was shown to nearly stop all of the velocity projections of PSA’s. Apatone significantly slowed the cancer; 16 out of 17 patients responded positively.
A sequential study done at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, combined Apatone with the chemotherapy drug Gemcitabine and showed that the Aptaone increased the effectiveness of the chemo by over 600% ,with NO extra toxicity.

Multiple studies focusing on dendritic cell therapies are currently active in the United States and throughout the world. The first FDA-approved dendritic cell treatment was called Provenge. Insulin Potentiation Therapy [IPT]
Insulin Potentiation Therapy (IPT) uses a combination of two orthodox drugs – insulin (which is actually also found in nature) and a chemotherapy drug. Cancer cells have highly active insulin receptors.
The theory for IPT is that insulin works on the cell membranes and allows chemotherapy to target cancer cells.
Thus, it is the chemotherapy that kills the cancer cells; however, because of the insulin, the amount of chemotherapy needed is greatly reduced, meaning the side effects of chemotherapy are also greatly reduced. The chemotherapy is also much more potent (thus the word: potentiation), much less of it is needed, and far less side effects are experienced.
Gerson Therapy

Initially developed by Dr. Max Gerson in the 1920s for the treatment of tuberculosis and headaches, Gerson Therapy was applied towards cancer patients in 1928. It is a specific diet-based immunological detoxification and nutrition protocol that is the foundation of all treatments at CHIPSA.
The diet includes raw and cooked foods in three organic vegan meals a day, as well as the intravenous inclusion of vitamin drips.
Additionally, patients can expect anywhere from 12-15 raw juices a day, prepared exclusively from organic fruits and vegetables. The use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) has been approved for over a dozen health conditions, including carbon monoxide poisoning, gangrene, and injuries in which tissues are not getting enough oxygen.
Humans depend upon the consumption of oxygen all the time. Most atmospheric air is comprised of roughly 21% oxygen and, of course, oxygen is necessary for the production of cellular energy within the mitochondria of every cell. The use of pure 100% oxygen in a high pressure atmosphere (HBOT) has been shown to accelerate the healing process.
The hyperbaric chamber has pure oxygen administered at pressures 1.5 – 3 times the normal atmospheric pressure with treatment times ranging from 30-90 minutes. Administering oxygen at higher pressures causes up to 20 times more oxygen to be absorbed by the blood and transferred to injured organs and tissues. This speeds up healing and recovery time in addition to other benefits.

Essentially, cancer cells have a non-oxygen metabolism and use sugar as a preferred source of fuel. By flooding the patient’s blood with oxygen, doctors are able to create a safe and non-toxic method for killing cancer cells in addition to all of the other benefits that come with oxygen therapy.
IV Ozone Therapy
Blood is drawn and Ozone is added to the drawn blood. It is then run through a UV A, B, and C light to further clean it of pathogens. The stimulation of the Ozone and UV light creates a vaccine-like immune response. Ozone therapy is a powerful immune-stimulant known for its antiviral and antibacterial effects. It also protects cells against extra damage from chemotherapy
GMCSF
Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor is a monomeric glycoprotein secreted by macrophages, T cells, mast cells, natural killer cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts that function as a cytokine.
Unlike GCSF, which is shown to tolerate dendritic cells, GMCSF is shown to encourage the free flow of dendritic cells. This thus creates the best environment for antigen presentation.
How is Willy Now?
After his 5 months of healing at CHIPSA, Willy thought he had beaten his cancer and went back home to Brazil to attempt resuming a normal life.
However, Willy’s tumor type has a tendency to return. When he wasn’t on the CHIPSA treatment protocols, his cancer came back, and this time, even more aggressively.
It was growing faster.
He knew that in order to reduce his tumors, he had to return to CHIPSA.
But this time things were a little different.
Willy’s story had made him somewhat of a hometown hero. Everybody wanted to be in his corner.

Everybody wanted Willy to live.
Now, Willy continues to get treatments CHIPSA but is well enough to be in our out-patient facility. He has come a long way from the 6 month death sentence he received back home. His tumors continue to shrink and he is getting better.

Will Stories Like Willy’s Become More Common in Cancer Patients?
While Willy’s story is amazing, we are not in any way, shape, or form stating that we have a cure for cancer.
It’s very common to see integrative practitioners making claims that one substance or “thing” is an all-out cure.
We also know, however, that CHIPSA has had great success treating many patients like Willy who were sent home to “die” in their home country because conventional medicine failed them.
