Anti-Inflammatory Foods That Can Stop Your Inflammation in It’s Tracks

It’s becoming quite to clear to me and more and more apparent to many others, that chronic inflammation in the body is, in fact, one of the leading causes for tons of illnesses and ailments.

Things like heart disease, Alzheimer’s and arthritis (plus many other related diseases) can, in fact, be traced right back to a point of inflammation in the body.

That’s pretty scary when you think about how many people suffer from inflammation, especially when you consider how commonplace it’s often treated. Inflammation kills people, slowly and painfully, something has to be done about it, and here are several things that you and/or a loved one can do to help get rid of inflammation.

And now, here’s the list of food that we promised…

Happy Thanksgiving by the way!

Fatty Fish:

Coming up first, in the #1 on our list, is fatty fish in all their different varieties. According to certain research that the University of Hawaii is responsible, men who ate boiled or baked versions of these different kinds of fish actually had a whopping 23% less chance of heart disease compared to those who did’t eat it. Literally, as long as that fat isn’t coming from the batter (in fried fish, notoriously filled with bad fats) you’re pretty much good.

Nuts:

I LOOOOVE nuts… I repeat, I LOOOOVE them… I eat them everyday, they’re so delicious and at the same time, they’re super good for you, they’re an easy snack, and they require zero hassle to eat, pack up or carry around. The hardest part about loving nuts and eating them so much is that you can never decide which ones you want to eat… You got almonds, macadamias, hazelnuts, walnuts, pecans, pistachios, the list goes on and on and on. Each and every one of them tasting delicious and power-packed to the brim with healthy fats that you’re body loves. Not only that, but they contain a bunch of anti-oxidants that help rid your body of any nasty free radicals hanging trying to damage your body. It helps in most areas of your life, not just inflammation.

Whole Grains:

Whole grains, everyone’s heard of them, everyone’s heard why they’re good, why they’re better than not-whole grains. We probably weren’t going to say anything that you hadn’t heard before about them so, at the end of the day, if you really do want to learn more about whole grains, just look it up, or search the rest of our site for it, we’d hate to waste your time, quoting health benefits that you probably already know. Let’s just put it this way, it fights inflammation and helps your body in a hole bunch of other ways as well. You should probably be eating more of it. 🙂

Garlic:

Use it to ward off vampires AND inflammation because garlic is packed with more than just a few health benefits. The anti-inflammatory list of benefits for garlic is long, but it’s often described to have similar effects as the over-the-counter drugs for inflammation, such as ibuprofen. Oh yeah, it tastes great and adds amazing flavor to pretty much any dish with a savory flavor that you can think of.
